How Therapy With Us Works
Wellington County Therapy | Therapy in Fergus, ON
01.
Begin where you are.
There’s no right or wrong way to start therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We take time to understand your past, where you are now, and where you hope to go.
02.
Find your way forward.
We’ll take this step together. Therapy is a collaborative process where we talk through what’s been feeling stuck, what you want to change, and what might be getting in the way. From there, we work side by side to shape an approach that fits you, helps get to the root of the issue, and feels manageable and meaningful.
03.
Build Change Together.
Through our work together, we support you in experiencing yourself, your relationships, and your world in new ways. Our goal is to foster meaningful, lasting change that feels authentic, impactful, and sustainable beyond the therapy room.

"I am a therapist because there are not enough places where others can come to breathe, to be, and to experience unconditional acceptance"
Carleigh Monk
Clinical Director, RP, BA (Hons), MACP
Beginning therapy takes courage.
Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, our work is rooted in understanding the deeper attachment patterns that shape how you experience yourself and others. As an attachment and trauma focused clinic, we believe meaningful change happens relationally, in the space between you and your therapist, where you can experience yourself differently, explore old patterns safely, and gradually create lasting shifts in how you relate to yourself and others.
This kind of work takes time, but it allows therapy to move beyond temporary coping strategies toward real, lasting change that carries into your everyday life, not just in the therapy room. No matter how long you have been struggling, change is always possible. We are passionate about this work because we’ve lived it ourselves and have had the privilege of witnessing clients discover new, healthier ways of relating to themselves, the world, and others.
Struggle is a part of life, but you don’t have to face it alone. There is healing in connection, and transformation is always within reach.
We’re here to support you as you move toward the life you want and the person you want to become. Change can start with a single step—reaching out.
